Road safety awareness programmes under the ‘Arrive Alive’ initiative were conducted across the city on Wednesday, with a focus on children, students and commuters in general.

At Khairatabad, the Saifabad Traffic Police organised a helmet distribution drive at VV Statue to mark Children’s Road Safety Day. DCP Traffic (Khairatabad Zone) Avinash Kumar distributed helmets to children travelling on two-wheelers and stressed that helmets are mandatory for children above the age of four years. He said parents must prioritise children’s safety and ensure the use of properly fitted helmets.
