Arrangements are in place for the All-India Conference on Parliamentary/Legislative Committees on ‘Empowerment of Women’, which will be held in Tirupati on September 14 and 15. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Secretary General S. Prasanna Kumar on Thursday addressed a meeting of liaison officers deputed for the event, asking them to go the extra mile to make it a grand success.

A nodal officer has been appointed for every State and a liaison officer for every delegate visiting the conference to ensure coordination. The delegates will be accommodated at star hotels, while transportation arrangements have also been arranged from various hotels to the venue of the event, he explained. Help desks have been set up at the railway station and airport for better coordination and to eliminate communication gaps.

Joint Collector Shubham Bansal called it a great opportunity for Andhra Pradesh, particularly Tirupati, to play host to the national conclave of women lawmakers, bureaucrats and social activists.

District Revenue Officer K. Narasimhulu, Tirupati Smart City Corporation General Manager V.R. Chandramouli, Revenue Divisional Officer (Tirupati) A. Rammohan and Deputy Collector (Protocol) Sivaram Naik also took part.
