Mandya Deputy Commissioner Dr. Kumar has directed 12 private hospitals in the district to enroll under the Arogya Sanjeevini scheme of the government of Karnataka, which offers cashless health check-ups and treatment for government employees. He urged hospitals to voluntarily come forward for empanelment.

At a meeting with doctors, hospital heads, and representatives of major private hospitals in Mandya, the DC said that the district has nearly 18,000 government employees, and their physical and mental well-being is vital for efficient administration.

The State Government launched the Arogya Sanjeevini scheme to ensure cashless medical services for its employees and their families. Cooperation from private hospitals is crucial to extend the scheme’s benefits to all eligible beneficiaries, he said.

“It is our collective responsibility to provide health security to government officers and staff who implement welfare programmes. Hospitals must support the district administration by registering under the scheme,” Dr. Kumar stated.

Adichunchanagiri Hospital at Belluru, DRM Hospital and Dayananda Nursing Home in Malavalli, have already been empanelled under the scheme.

The DC listed the hospitals that need to enrol under Arogya Sanjeevini: Spandana Hospital, Sanjo Hospital, Pragathi Nursing Home, G. Madegowda Hospital, Cauvery Nursing Home, Ramakrishna Nursing Home, Archana Nursing Home, Surabhi Nursing Home (all in Mandya), and Madegowda Hospital in K.R. Pet.

District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. Mohan, District Leprosy Eradication Officer Dr. Somashekar, District Government Employees’ Association President Nagesh, and heads of various private hospitals were present.
