“Ayya [AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami] has been voicing [for justice] over the murder of my husband [late BSP leader K. Armstrong]. He has been raising the issue in the Assembly. Leaders in the NDA have also been voicing their support to me. The NDA will secure a majority of votes and win,” she said.

When asked about her candidature for the first time in an Assembly election and how important it was for her, Ms. Porkodi said: “It is quite important to me. I should get justice for the murder of my husband. I have been struggling to get that.”
