Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) chairman B. Sesharao on Tuesday (July 21, 2026) urged the officials and staff to identify talented youth from every district across the State and encourage them to participate in the IndiaSkills Competition 2026-27.

Speaking after launching the IndiaSkills Competition 2026-27 poster, along with CEO and Managing Director of the Corporation G. Ganesh Kumar, Mr. Sesharao emphasised that APSSDC should nurture and mentor young talent, enabling them to excel at the district, State, regional, national, and WorldSkills levels, thereby bringing laurels to Andhra Pradesh and the nation while strengthening the State’s position on the global skills map.

Mr. Ganesh Kumar directed officials to launch a comprehensive State-wide awareness campaign to maximise participation in the competition. He instructed APSSDC teams to work in close coordination with the government and private ITIs, polytechnic colleges, engineering colleges, universities, skill training institutions, industries and sector skill councils to identify talented youth, create awareness about the competition and facilitate their participation across all districts.

The IndiaSkills Competition is India’s premier skills championship, designed to identify and nurture exceptional talent across a wide range of 63 vocational and technical trades. Eligible candidates can register in any one skill based on their area of expertise through the SIDH portal link https://www.skillindiadigital.gov.in/account/register?returnUrl=%2Findia-skills-competition.

Participants will compete at the district/zonal-level competitions, with successful candidates advancing to the State, Regional, and National IndiaSkills competitions. National winners will earn the opportunity to represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills Competition, the world’s largest international platform for vocational skills excellence. The competition offers young professionals and students a unique opportunity to benchmark their skills against national and international standards while enhancing their employability and career prospects.
