Hubballi Dharwad police will set up an anti-stabbing squad with the aim of preventing and detecting stabbing cases and maintaining law and order.

The squad will be operational in the jurisdiction of every police station within the Hubballi-Dharwad city limits. Squad personnel will take necessary precautions and legal measures to prevent stabbing cases.

They will conduct continuous patrolling in their area, keep an eye on suspicious persons, conduct checks and take precautionary measures to prevent stabbing and other violent incidents.

In addition to creating necessary awareness so that an atmosphere of fear is not created among the public, prompt and effective legal action will be taken if any stabbing cases occur.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Hubballi-Dharwad City, shall supervise the functioning of the anti-stabbing squad, said a release by Borase Bhushan Gulabrao, the Commissioner of Police.
