The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly will continue its sessions until September 30, with 10 working days scheduled, as decided by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) chaired by Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, on Thursday (September 18). The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has proposed 18 subjects for discussion, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put forward nine issues.

Thursday’s proceedings focused on Goods and Services Tax (GST), with Finance Minister P. Keshav announcing the benefits of the Centre’s decision to reduce GST slabs, highlighting the fall in prices and relief to citizens. Several legislators are expected to speak, followed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who will respond with a note of appreciation for the Central government.

The House will deliberate on water resources on Friday, followed by discussions on law and order (September 22), health (September 23), industries (September 24), Super-6 (September 25), Quantum Valley (September 26), logistics (September 27), Swarnandra vision (September 29), and regional development across Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra, and North Andhra (September 30).

The Assembly will remain closed on September 20, 21, and 28. Proceedings will run daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Chief Minister Naidu directing ministers to be present for both Question Hour and Zero Hour. The BAC meeting was attended by Chief Minister Naidu, Legislative Affairs Minister P. Keshav, G.V. Anjaneyulu (Government Chief Whip), Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar (JSP), and P.
