Additional DC conducts surprise inspection at govt. hostels in Mysuru

Additional Deputy Commissioner P. Shivaraju carried out surprise inspections in hostels of the Backward Classes Welfare Department in Mysuru on Thursday.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, who is also the KAS officer-in-charge of Mysuru taluk, conducted the surprise checks as per instructions of the Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, said an official statement issued here on Thursday.

Mr. Shivaraju visited the government hostel of Backward Classes Welfare Department in Kuvempunagar, Bogadi, and other areas in and around Mysuru.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT

During the visit, he inspected the condition of the kitchen, toilets, storage room, and other facilities, besides the availability of drinking water and other amenities. He also interacted with the students staying in the hostels.

Mr. Shivaraju attended a parents’ meeting, which was under way in one of the hostels, and held discussions with the parents and students.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by District Officer for Backward Classes Welfare Department Raghavendra and Mysuru taluk officer for the Department Chandrakala.
