A.P. tribal students shine at EMRS sports meet, win 118 medals

Andhra Pradesh Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) contingent brought laurels to the State by bagging 118 medals in the fourth EMRS sports meet-2025, held in Rourkela, Odisha from November 11 to 15.

The event, inaugurated by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, brought together athletes from across EMRS in the country.

According to a press note from the AP Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APTWREI), the event was aimed at fostering sportsmanship, discipline and excellence among tribal welfare students and providing them a national platform to showcase their talent.

The A.P. contingent showcased exceptional talent and their performance set a strong benchmark for future competitions. Out of 118, the highest number of medals (24) was won in the atheltics category, followed by boxing, with 23 medals.
