A delegation from the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department is participating in the South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exhibition (SATTE), which began at at ‘Yashobhoomi’ (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in New Delhi on Wednesday (February 25). The three-day expo ends on February 27.
On behalf of the State Tourism Department, Deputy CEO Srinivas, Chief Marketing Officer Padma Rani, Marketing Manager Rafeeq Ahmed and other senior officials participated in the expo and explained the tourism potential of Andhra Pradesh to representatives from various countries.
The delegation focussed on strengthening the tourism network by connecting tour operators from the State with their national and international counterparts. Efforts are being made to bring international recognition to the state’s long coastline, Araku Valley, Gandikota and major spiritual destinations such as Tirupati, Vijayawada and Srisailam. Discussions were also held on designing innovative and cost-effective travel packages to attract tourists from different countries.
Officials from the department said Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh and senior officials Ajay Jain and Amrapali Kata would participate in more such international tourism conferences to position Andhra Pradesh tourism on a global stage.
Tour operators registered on A.P. Tourism Authority (APTA) portal have been given the opportunity to participate in the A.P. Pavilion at the ongoing expo and to interact with national and international agencies, as this will enable them to expand their services further.
