Minister for MSME Kondapalli Srinivas on Friday said that the government was always keen to take the support of media to highlight welfare and developmental activities so that people would get benefited with such publicity. He said that media commission’s proposal was good to oversee print, electronic media, social media platforms.

Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists Association’s State Deputy General Secretary P.S.S.V. Prasad, APUWJ-Vizianagaram District President Aripaka Ramu and Secretary N.M. Sanyasi Rao and other members submitted a memorandum to the Minister, expressing concern over the circulation of false information with uncontrolled social media platforms.

Mr. Siva said that appointment of media commission can observe the content of media platforms and issue guidelines periodically. Reacting over the petition, Mr. Srinivas said that misuse of social media platforms had been creating trouble to the government also. Earlier, APUWJ delegation submitted memorandums to Nellimarla MLA Lokam Naga Madhavi, Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy and other officials over the issues of journalists.
