PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday accused the State government of trying to scuttle his ongoing Padayatra, in the aftermath of the Karur tragedy.

Speaking at the event of the introduction of the newly-appointed youth wing president, Ganeshkumar, Dr. Anbumani said, the State government will not succeed in suppressing PMK’s voice. “In my 28 years of public life, this padayatra is very dear to me. The reason it is important is that I meet the people directly, go to their areas, understand their problems, and bring solutions.”

Dr. Anbumani claimed the government was continuously lying about the job creation and influx of investments coming in to Tamil Nadu.

“Chief Minister and the Minister concerned said that Foxconn was going to invest ₹ 15000 crore. But the company immediately denied it. I am preparing a document that would list actual investments that have been made in Tamil Nadu backed with data. I will be releasing it soon. They are lying that around ₹ 11.62 lakh crore worth of investments have been made in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
