Bringing relief to State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs), and their customers and distributors of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Southern Region Bulk LPG Transport Owners’ Association withdrew their strike on Wednesday. This was after the OMCs agreed to extend the present tenders till March 31, 2026.

Association president K. Sunderraj said that though the contract period had come to an end, since the same terms and conditions had been extended, they had accepted it. Members of the Association had been on strike since Friday last pressing various demands including issuance of work orders only to genuine SC/ST candidates.
