An accident was reported in front of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the city on Saturday (October 11, 2025) after a BMTC electric bus driver suffered a sudden seizure while driving, resulting in a chain collision involving multiple vehicles.

According to officials, the BMTC bus veered out of control and hit several cars and two-wheelers on the road. “Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The driver, who experienced the medical emergency, was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital and is out of danger,” a BMTC official said.

BMTC officials confirmed that the accident was caused by the driver’s sudden health condition and assured that all affected vehicle owners are safe. “No harm was caused to anyone, and all are safe,” the official added.

Traffic police cleared the damaged vehicles from the road to ensure smooth vehicular movement and prevent congestion in the busy Central Business District area.
