The Keralam Assembly will host a conference of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairpersons from 25 States on November 3 and 4. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate the conference in which 300 public representatives, including MPs and MLAs from various States, are expected to participate. Mr. Birla will also inspect a Guard of Honour before the inaugural ceremony.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday (November 2, 2026), Keralam Assembly Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said this would be the first time the State was hosting such a conference.

The inaugural and closing ceremonies will be beld at Sankaranarayanan Thampi Members Lounge in the Assembly complex, while the Plenary sessions will be held in the Assembly Hall.

“As per the Rule Book, no other events are allowed to be held inside the Assembly Hall. To waive this, I moved a resolution in the session that concluded last week, to which all members responded favourably. As per the Constitution, the PAC examines the CAG reports and submits them to the Assembly. The PAC in Keralam is the one which has examined and submitted the most such reports,” said the Speaker.

Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan, chairperson of the PAC of the Parliament K. C. Venugopal, Keralam PAC chairperson K.N.Balagopal and others will speak.
