Deputy Leader of the BRS Legislature Party and former Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy alleged that the government was illegally acquiring land for the bullet train project without any permissions, and this was flagged by the Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who said no State government was asked to acquire land for the project.

Forcible land acquisitions were going on across the Rangareddy district without disclosing for what purpose the lands were being acquired, she alleged at a press conference on Tuesday. She claimed that lands were being snatched for the Chief Minister’s family interests just like in Kodangal

Stating that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was unable to govern the State properly, she said the government had scrapped the Pharma City project, for which 14,000 acres of land were acquired by the BRS government. Now Congress government was planning to acquire 2,500 acres adjacent to it, she said.

In the Ibrahimpatnam constituency, the government had mortgaged ₹60,000 crore worth of land to raise a ₹10,000 crore loan and of it, ₹6,000 crore was already credited to the Treasury by the mortgagee, she alleged.
