KMRL to take steps to augment non-ticketing revenue

Steps would be taken to augment non-ticketing revenue, including from semi-naming rights of Kochi metro stations, it was decided at a meeting convened here by District Collector G. Priyanka, who is also the managing director of Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), on Thursday.

This would be in addition to garnering non-ticketing revenue from the metro’s 11.20-km Kakkanad extension whose construction works are on. Besides, steps would be taken to fill key posts remaining vacant in the metro agency.

Stakeholders who attended the meeting also took stock of the proposal to build a flyover at Sreekaryam in the State capital.

They also reviewed the progress of the metro’s Kakkanad extension works, according to a release.
