Traffic banned on Pallathuruthy bridge

As part of the renovation work of the Pallathuruthy bridge on the Alappuzha-Changanassery (AC) road, vehicular traffic through the bridge will be completely banned from 9 p.m. on October 6 to 5 a.m. on October 7.

As per an order issued by District Collector Alex Varghese, vehicles coming from Changanassery are advised to take the Changanassery–Pooppally Junction–Champakulam–S.N. Kavala–Alappuzha route, while vehicles coming from Alappuzha should proceed via the Alappuzha–S.N. Kavala–Champakulam–Pooppally Junction route or through the Ambalappuzha–Thiruvalla road.
