A team from the New Delhi-based Inclusion Economics India Centre (IEIC) visited villages in Hukkeri taluk in Belagavi district on Wednesday to gather information on the implementation of the VB-G RAM G scheme.

The team, including Jennifer Allard, Sanjuli Gupta, and Satish Barjacharya, visited the site of the ‘Continuous Contour Trench’ (CCT) works in Gudas Gram Panchayat and spoke to the workers. They also spoke to the officers and obtained some information about the works. They gathered details about the wage payments under the K2 system. They also went through registers, employment guarantee cards, work sites, and official files.

The officers told them about various technological tools and mobile applications like ‘JanGram’ and ‘RuralOne’. They also met technical assistants, barefoot technicians, and ‘gram kayaka mitras’ about muster roll tracking and rejected payments.
