VIT, Vellore, signs MoU with Columbia University (Columbia Engineering) New York, USA, on offering dual degrees.

The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Columbia University (Columbia Engineering) New York, USA, on offering dual degrees.

According to a press release, the agreement was signed by G. Viswanathan, founder and Chancellor, VIT, and Sen. Soulaymane Kachani, Dean of Academic Affairs and Global Partnerships, Columbia University, in the presence of Binaya Srikanta Pradhan Consul General of India in New York, and G.V. Selvam, vice-president, VIT.

The partnership makes VIT the first Indian university to enter into a dual degree agreement with Columbia University, opening world-class academic pathways for engineering students on an international stage, the release said.
