The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) continued its enforcement drive against unauthorised constructions on Tuesday, August 25 demolishing 17 under-construction buildings across its three zones.

According to the CMC, the demolitions were carried out in accordance with the directions of CMC Commissioner G. Srijana. Of the 17 structures demolished, seven were in Serilingampally Zone, two in Kukatpally Zone and eight in Quthbullapur Zone.

As part of the enforcement exercise, CMC officials also served 11 unauthorised construction (UC) notices to buildings identified during the inspections. In addition, 54 unauthorised constructions were identified through multiple sources, including MyCURE, Prajavani petitions and field-level inspections by enforcement officials.

The civic body said the identification and enforcement process would continue on a daily basis to ensure that unauthorised constructions are detected at an early stage and action is taken promptly.

The Commissioner has directed Town Planning and enforcement teams to strengthen daily field-level monitoring, improve the identification of unauthorised constructions and ensure timely action in accordance with applicable building regulations.
