Eight personalities chosen for ‘Karmayogi Award-2026’

Eight personalities from the fields of education, social service, literature, art, healthcare, industry and entrepreneurship have been chosen for the ‘Karmayogi Award-2026’, instituted in memory of former FKCCI president and industrialist Shantlingappa S. Patil Kadaganchi.

The eight eminent personalities include: Channaveer Shivacharya of Sri Channabasaveshwara Samsthan Hiremath Harkud (Education), Vilasavati Khuba, president of Basava Samiti-Kalaburagi (Social Service), A.K. Rameshwar, writer (Literature), Pundit Fakkiresh Kanavi (Art), Shekar Patil, oncologist, HCG Hospital, Bengaluru (Health), Sanjeev Gupta, director, Fortune Geoponics, Kalaburagi (Industry), Rahulkumar N. Baldota, joint managing director, MSPL Limited, Hospet (Business) and Preetam Mehta, chairman of SRN Mehta Group of Institutions, Kalaburagi (Entrepreneur).

Manu Baligar, former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, told the press that these individuals have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

The awards will be presented in Kalaburagi on Sunday (August 23) to commemorate Shantlingappa Patil’s fourth death anniversary. Each award carries a cash prize of ₹51,000 and a citation.
