Bhalki Institute of Technology (BKIT) concluded its five-day induction programme for newly admitted BE students of the 2026-27 batch with a valedictory programme at the college auditorium in Bhalki, Bidar district, on Saturday (August 22).

Sessions on finance, literacy and education, essential soft skills, emotional intelligence, stress management, self-awareness and life skills, IT industry demands in 2026, and universal human values were part of the induction programme.

Mahesh Arali, BKIT alumnus and founder-CEO of Algorithm365, Bengaluru, who was the chief guest, congratulated the organising committee for successfully conducting the programme. He told the students that good education, decency, a positive attitude and communication skills were important for building a successful career.

Guest of honour Sangeeta A, also a BKIT alumna and co-founder of Algorithm365, said her organisation was open to the BKIT student community and would extend its support towards nurturing budding engineers of the institution.

Prizes and certificates were distributed to students who excelled in cultural events, debate, quiz and aptitude competitions organised as part of the induction programme.

In-charge principal Vijaykumar Durg, who presided over the programme, briefed the students about the facilities available at the college and its rules and regulations, besides highlighting students’ achievements in various co-curricular activities.

He urged the students to come out of their comfort zones, work hard and make the best use of their time at the institution. He also advised them to maintain contact with the college’s alumni network.

Faculty members Rajshekhar Mathapati, Geetanjali Alle, Baswaraj Kawdi and others were present.
