The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation’s (KSRTC) has launched its executive AC luxury bus service on the Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam route. The service commenced at 5.30 a.m. on Thursday (August 20, 2026) without any official ceremonies.
As per the schedule, the bus departs from Thiruvananthapuram at 5.30 a.m. and reaches Ernakulam at 9.30 a.m. via Kollam Ayathil, Alappuzha Komadi, and High Court. The bus will depart from Ernakulam at 5.30 p.m. and reach Thiruvananthapuram via the same route at 9.30 p.m. The service to and from Ernakulam is available from Monday to Friday, said a release here on Thursday.
A business class bus with advanced technology and excellent amenities features 36 premium reclining seats. Each seat has a personalised entertainment system for the passenger. The pantry system includes a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker. Toilet facility inside the bus is expected to be very helpful for long-distance passengers. The bus has USB charging ports and free Wi-Fi facility throughout the journey.
The bus will have staff to ensure premium quality service. The driver-cum-conductors have been trained in the operation of the bus, safety systems and emergency procedures. In addition, the bus hostesses have been well-trained in hospitality management, customer service, passenger handling, emergency services, etc. To book tickets in advance through WhatsApp, the passenger can send a message saying ‘Hai’ to 9447071021. Tickets can also be booked through the official website of KSRTC, Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS mobile application, and other reservation counters, said the statement.
