The Shilparamam cultural village here resonated with music and dance on Tuesday evening as artistes from across India took the stage for the Lok Kala Yatra Folk Dance Festival. The event brought together a variety of regional folk traditions, offering the audience a glimpse into the country’s cultural diversity.

Telangana’s Rajitha set the tone with a lively performance of Kolatam, a traditional group dance. From Maharashtra, Ravindra Laxman Bhoye and his troupe presented Songi Mukhavate, while Chhattisgarh’s Anil Kumar Garhewal enthralled the gathering with Ghedi Nrutya. Jammu’s Nishu Panditha showcased the Dongri Nrutya, and Punjab’s Arashpreet Singh and his group added colour and vigour with their spirited Bhangra.

The festival is being organised alongside Shilparamam’s Navratri, Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations and the Sarees of India Mela, which will continue until October 5. The exhibition is open to visitors from 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
