The Telangana government has given a go-ahead to three major road infrastructure projects in Hyderabad under the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) mode, at a tender contract value of ₹242.72 crore.
According to the orders issued by the Metropolitan Area & Urban Development Department on Wednesday, the projects comprise construction of a left-arm down ramp for the existing Owaisi Flyover towards Santhosh Nagar, a six-lane bi-directional grade separator from Hafeez Baba Nagar Junction to the 100 Feet Balapur–Church Road Junction, and a six-lane bi-directional flyover at the Bandlaguda-Errakunta crossroad junction.
The government had earlier accorded administrative sanction of ₹339 crore for the works under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) programme. The GHMC subsequently proposed a revised administrative sanction of ₹385 crore, which included property acquisition component. The civic body was also permitted to invite tenders under the EPC mode, undertake land and property acquisition simultaneously to avoid delays, and engage a Project Management Consultant for supervision, quality control, quality assurance and quality audit.
GHMC invited tenders through the e-procurement platform in January 2026, with an internal benchmark value of ₹231.8725 crore and a contract period of 24 months. KNR Constructions Limited who quoted 4.68% in excess was the sole bidder and was found technically responsive, the orders maintained.
The government has now permitted GHMC to accept the bid, meet the expenditure from the H-CITI head of account and award the works to KNR Constructions Limited after entering into the agreement.
