The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Jana Sena Party and BJP, the three constituents of the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh, have asked their social media activists and supporters to refrain from personal attacks, abusive posts and hostile campaigns against leaders of their alliance partners.
In a joint statement posted by the JSP on social media platform X on Tuesday (August 11, 2026), the NDA Social Media Coordination Committee said it had noticed the activities of fake accounts and “pseudo supporters” posing as supporters or workers of one of the alliance parties while targeting leaders of another partner.
The committee said such accounts could, for instance, appear to be supporting TDP president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu while criticising Jana Sena chief and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Similarly, fake accounts posing as Jana Sena supporters could target Mr. Naidu.
Such posts and comments, it said, were leading genuine party workers and supporters to react emotionally and engage in counter-attacks against members of the alliance partners. This was ultimately creating conflicts within the alliance and benefiting the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) politically, it said.
The three parties said that, at a time when the NDA partners should work together to counter the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP’s) strategies and take the development and welfare programmes of the coalition government to the people, creating differences among themselves was contrary to the spirit of alliance.
The alliance leadership has therefore decided to adopt a joint course of action to put an end to such practices, the statement said.
The committee said strict action would be taken against social media activists of the TDP, Jana Sena or BJP who engaged in personal criticism, abusive remarks or vindictive campaigns against leaders of alliance partners or members of their families, irrespective of the party to which they belonged.
The primary objective, however, was to identify such “pseudo” accounts and prevent their alleged attempts to create discord within the alliance, the committee said.
It appealed to genuine party workers and supporters to exercise restraint and not immediately react to suspicious posts or comments. Instead, such content should be brought to the notice of the respective parties, which would take appropriate action, it said.
At the same time, the social media cadres were asked to effectively counter what the committee described as misinformation being spread about the development and welfare programmes being implemented by the Central and State governments.
The objective should be to explain the facts clearly to the people and widely publicise the development and welfare programmes being undertaken by the governments, it said.
The committee concluded its appeal with the message: “NDA unity is our strength. Publicising welfare and development programmes is our goal.”
