YSRCP leaders are spreading misinformation about Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva Trust despite there being an increase in the number of beneficiaries, treatments and payments to hospitals, Minister for Health, Medical and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav has said..

After laying the foundation for a Primary Health Centre and laboratory at Chanubanda village in Chatrai mandal in Eluru district on Tuesday, Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav said while 41 lakh people had been treated under the scheme during the YSRCP’s tenure, the NDA government has provided treatment to 29 lakh people in two years.

He said the government had facilitated treatments worth around ₹8,400 crore and cleared nearly ₹7,000 crore in hospital bills during the period.

Rejecting allegations that the scheme had been weakened, the Minister dared YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for a public debate backed by statistics.

He accused the previous government of issuing orders for construction of Chanubanda PHC thrice without allocating funds, while stating that the coalition government is constructing 100 PHCs Statewide and has secured ₹1,200 crore for strengthening healthcare infrastructure. He said the ‘Sanjeevani’ programme is delivering free diagnostic services through 950 mobile medical units, offering 41 tests worth around ₹3,000 per person at villagers’ doorsteps.

Housing Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy also took part in the inauguration programme.
