Visakhapatnam district has completed arrangements for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET-2026), scheduled to be conducted in the computer-based test (CBT) mode from August 5 to 16. Reviewing the preparations with officials on Monday, District In-charge Collector Gobbilla Vidyadhari directed all departments to work in coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.

According to an official release, 21,522 candidates will appear at eight examination centres in the district. The examinations will be held in two sessions daily, from 9.30 a.m. to noon and from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates have been advised to reach their centres at least an hour before the examination and strictly follow the instructions in their hall tickets. The district administration has arranged 100 scribes for candidates with special needs.

Police have been directed to provide adequate security, while Section 144 will be enforced around examination centres. APSRTC has been asked to operate special buses for candidates, and officials have been instructed to ensure uninterrupted power supply and deploy medical teams with first-aid facilities at every examination centre.
