Overnight rains lashed several parts of Hyderabad late on Monday (July 27, 2026) and continued into Tuesday morning, bringing widespread showers across the city.

The rain began after 10 p.m., sparing the city from major traffic congestion during peak commuting hours. Earlier in the day, the Cyberabad Police had issued an advisory urging Information Technology (IT) companies to consider allowing employees to leave work early to minimise potential traffic disruptions in the event of heavy rainfall. However, as the showers commenced only after 10 p.m., traffic snarls were largely avoided.
