The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has invited applications for admission to 65 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes for the 2026-27 academic year. Admissions under the July cycle commenced on June 22.

Applications are open under the University’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode for programmes including BA, BCom, BBA, BSc, MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MSW, BEd, Library Science, and a range of diploma and certificate courses. Candidates can apply through the University’s online admission portal and complete document verification at their respective regional centres after submitting their applications.

Addressing a press conference in Mysuru on Thursday, KSOU Vice-Chancellor A.P. Gnanaprakash said the University is also offering admissions to 10 online programmes, including BA, BCom, MA in Kannada and Hindi, MBA and MSc in Mathematics.

He said KSOU has strengthened its learner support system through a dedicated mobile application that enables students to access digital study materials, submit assignments, attend live and virtual classes, download previous years’ question papers and pay examination fees online. Students unable to attend classes physically can also access lectures through KSOU Drushyavahini, the YouTube-based learning platform.

Accredited with an ‘A+’ grade by NAAC and recognised by the UGC-Distance Education Bureau, KSOU has expanded its outreach through a network of 38 Regional Centres, 118 Learner Support Centres and 50 counselling centres in Karnataka.

Senior KSOU officials were also present at the press conference.
