A 60-year-old man reportedly died after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs in Gunjepalle village of Narpala mandal in Anantapur district on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Peddanna, was waiting for a bus to travel to Narpala when the dogs suddenly cornered him in the morning. Villagers rushed to his aid and shifted him to a local hospital for treatment. As Peddanna suffered multiple bite injuries and severe blood loss from the attack, he soon succumbed.
Police and civic authorities visited the village and gathered details.
