Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, senior BRS leaders – including T. Harish Rao – on Tuesday condoled the death of former minister in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and former Lok Sabha member Mudragada Padmanabham.

In a condolence message, Mr. Reddy said Mudragada Padmanabham had played a pioneering role in addressing public issues as an MLA, minister and public leader. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and well-wishers.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka described Mudragada’s death as a major loss to public life. His efforts for the upliftment of Backward Classes and social justice would be remembered for long, he said, while expressing sympathy to the family.

Meanwhile, Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao said Mudragada had worked tirelessly for the welfare of the Kapu community and for securing the constitutional rights of Kapus and allied communities. His death was a significant loss to social movements, Mr. Rao said, while extending condolences to the bereaved family and followers.

BRS Deputy Floor Leader T. Harish Rao also expressed grief over Mudragada’s death. He said the veteran leader would be remembered for his service to the people.

BRS Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra said Mudragada demise was a great loss to the politics of the Telugu States. Several Kapu community leaders also mourned the death of Mudragada.
