The Tamil Nadu Government on Monday (July 13, 2026) transferred Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) A. Arun from the position of Director of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC). He has been posted as ADGP/Director of the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Oonamancherry.

Mr. Arun served as the Greater Chennai City Police Commissioner from July 2024 to April 2026 and was transferred on the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI) during the recent Assembly elections. After the TVK-led coalition government, headed by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, assumed office, he was appointed Director of the DVAC on May 25. He has now been transferred within two months of taking charge.

Inspector General of Police C. Mageshwari has been given additional charge as the Director of the DVAC. She is currently serving as Inspector General of Police in the Special Investigation Cell-I of the DVAC, according to a Home Department order.
