Chief Minister to inaugurate Perambur MLA office on Monday

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay will inaugurate the MLA office in Perambur Assembly constituency on Monday.

“We renovated the MLA office recently. We have also arranged a common service centre — E-Sevai maiyyam — in the MLA office for receiving petitions,” Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) Commissioner G.S. Sameeran said. Two persons will be employed in the common service centre.

Following a demand from residents in the Perambur Assembly constituency, the GCC has identified projects in housing, health, sports infrastructure, urban space development, education sector, water and sanitation, and power Infrastructure. On Monday, the Chief Minister will hold a meeting with officials regarding Perambur and the development works to be taken up in the constituency.

He will visit a PDS shop and an MTC EV charging depot in the area.

Parked cars removed

On Sunday, the police asked residents to remove cars parked on the roads as part of preparations for the Chief Minister’s convoy, in various interior roads of the constituency.

Following the inauguration, the GCC has planned major infrastructure upgrades in the constituency, including mini stadium, sports turfs, food courts, pedestrian plazas, lake front development, smart schools, upgraded hospitals, dialysis centres, and housing projects for low-income group.

A few days ago, officials from the GCC conducted a detailed inspection of neighbourhoods in the constituency.

Several civic infrastructure projects in the area are likely to be finalised in the Chief Minister’s meeting with officials on Monday.
