The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will add seven more healthcare facilities into its infrastructure network in six States. Union Minister for Labour Mansukh Mandaviya will inaugurate the projects at Sanathnagar in Telangana on Tuesday (July 14, 2026).

Apart from the new Outpatient Department Block of ESIC Hospital, Sanathnagar, upgraded 200-bed ESIC Hospital, Beltola, Assam, 100-bed ESIC hospital in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, hospital in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, dispensary and branch offices in Surendranagar in Gujarat and Kota in Rajasthan and ESI Dispensary at Bhawani Mandi in Rajasthan are the new facilities. “These medical facilities, worth approximately ₹668 crore, will cater to the healthcare needs of around 53 lakh beneficiaries across the country,” the Union Labour Ministry said in a release on Sunday (July 12).

The new facility in Sanathnagar, the government says, is a landmark healthcare facility that will provide modern, comprehensive outpatient services to 12,30,183 insured persons and beneficiaries across Telangana. The total cost for the building was ₹211.13 crore. The ESIC Hospital in Beltola, Assam caters to 47 districts of Assam and Meghalaya, as well as 41 districts across Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. “The facility is expected to cover 3.42 lakh insured persons, and a total of about 13.27 lakh beneficiaries,” the government said.

The ESIC Hospital located at Sriperumbudur will cater to 5.5 lakh insured persons to get medical facilities from Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur Districts. The hospital at Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh will serve 1,31,190 insured persons, while 9,192 insured persons are covered under the ESIC scheme in Surendranagar district. In Kota, the facility will cater to more than 1,500 employers, and approximately 75,000 insured persons. The Bhawani Mandi, Rajasthan facility will provide healthcare services to approximately 800 employers that consist of 27,715 insured persons. The government has been maintaining that the implementation of the Social Security Code will expand the coverage of ESIC, while trade unions have been demanding more facilities under the ESIC for workers.
