SSG Annual Sports Meet concludes in Guntur

Additional Director General of Police (ADG-Intelligence) Mahesh Chandra Laddha stressed the need for organising sports and games in the Intelligence Department for maintaining fitness and fostering camaraderie among the officers.

Mr. Laddha distributed prizes to the winners during the closing ceremony of Annual Sports Meet–2026, organised for Special Security Group (SSG) held at Acharya Nagarjuna Univesity (ANU) in Guntur on Friday.

Inspector General of Police P.H.D. Ramakrishna; SSG Director Jagadeesh Adahalli, Superintendent of Police Chennupati Bhadraiah, in-charge DIG, Intelligence Security Wing (ISW) P. Prakash, SP K. Arif Hafeez, Counter Intelligence SP K. Srinivasa Rao and other officers participated.

The overall championship has been awarded to Constable S. Kamalendra Rao for his outstanding performance in the meet. About 25 events, fancy dress, singing and stage plays were conducted, a release said on Saturday.

In all, 132 prizes were distributed to the winners, runners-up and consolation prizes were also given to the supporting staff, the release added.
