The Perumbavoor police probing the seizure of around 18 kg of suspected hybrid ganja have arrested two more people in connection with the case.

The arrested are Jagath, a native of Eranjipalam in Kozhikode, and Faiz of Koduvally in Kozhikode. Jagath was reportedly nabbed from Eranjipalam and Faiz from Vythiri in Wayanad.

Police sources said Jagath was involved in distribution of hybrid ganja smuggled from Thailand, while Faiz is accused of coordinating the peddlers operating within Kerala.

The case pertains to the seizure of suspected hybrid cannabis, valued at around ₹18 crore, from Ayush, 39, a native of Vypeen, and wife Anika, 30, on June 24 during a raid in Perumbavoor conducted as part of Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt.
