Andhra Pradesh will showcase its handloom heritage, textile capabilities, investment opportunities and export potential at Bharat Tex 2026, to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from July 14 to 17.

The State Department of Handlooms and Textiles has set up an expanded Andhra Pradesh Pavilion at the international exhibition organised by the Ministry of Textiles. The event is expected to bring together manufacturers, exporters, buyers, investors, technology providers and international delegations from across the globe.

The State pavilion will highlight Andhra Pradesh’s strengths in handlooms, textiles, apparel and garments, along with textile parks, GI-tagged products, One District One Product (ODOP) products, export-oriented industries and traditional weaving clusters. The initiative is aimed at attracting investments, strengthening export linkages, creating new market opportunities and accelerating the growth of the State’s textile sector.

Officials of the department said the State’s participation aligned with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of positioning Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for textile manufacturing and investments. Handlooms and Textiles Minister S. Savitha has been promoting initiatives to expand market access for handloom products and create greater opportunities for weavers and textile entrepreneurs.

Special Chief Secretary R.P. Sisodia has been overseeing efforts to strengthen the State’s textile sector and ensure effective participation at the event. Commissioner Rekha Rani is coordinating the Andhra Pradesh Pavilion and the participation of entrepreneurs.

The Andhra Pradesh Pavilion will feature leading participants, including Guntur Textile Park, Tarakeswara Textile Park, Harish Fashions and APCO. Around 40 entrepreneurs and exporters from ‘Champion’ and ‘Aspirational’ districts will also take part to explore global business opportunities and expand their international market presence. Officials expressed confidence that Bharat Tex 2026 would significantly enhance Andhra Pradesh’s global visibility and boost the growth of its textile sector.
