COMEDK has taken action after malpractice was reported at three centres in Jamshedpur during the COMEDK UGET 2026. As part of the regulations, the candidature of 36 candidates involved in malpractice has been placed under suspension.

COMEDK UGET exams were computer-based tests conducted on May 9 this year across India, and the results were announced on May 29.

According to a release, COMEDK has individually notified each of the identified candidates and has provided them with an opportunity to appear before COMEDK authorities in Bengaluru on or before July 10. “Candidates will be allowed to inspect the material establishing their involvement and present their explanation before any final decision is taken regarding cancellation or debarment,” said the release.

The choice filling for the mock allotment will commence from July 11 and the online counselling process will continue as scheduled, said the release.
