The first prize of the Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery in Kerala has been increased to ₹30 crore from ₹25 crore, the State Lotteries Directorate said on Wednesday.

The Kerala government has issued an order hiking the prize amount of its most-sought-after lottery. The ticket price remains unchanged at ₹500 per ticket.

At the same time, the third prize of this lottery has been revised from र50 lakh to 25 lakh as part of the prize structure revision.

Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will launch this year’s Onam Bumper Lottery with the revised prize structure on July 17, State Lotteries Director Anju K.S. said. Although it has been decided to issue 90 lakh tickets to the agents, they will be printed in accordance with the demand, Ms. Anju said.

The toral prizes of the lottery amount to ₹125.54 crore.

The prize structure is as follows: First prize (₹30 crore), second prize (₹1 crore each to two winners each in the 20 series), third prize (₹25 lakh to 20 winners – two in each series), fourth prize (₹5 lakh to 10 winners – one per series), fifth prize (₹2 lakh each to 10 winners – one per series), sixth prize (₹5,000 to 54,000 winners), seventh prize (₹2,000 to 81,000 winners), eighth prize – ₹1,000 to 1,24,000 winners), ninth prize (₹500 to 2,75,400 winners), consolation prize (₹5 lakh each to nine winners).

The Kerala government had raised the first prize of the Thiruvonam Bumper lottery to ₹25 crore in July 2022.
