Senior officers of the Hyderabad Traffic Police and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Monday (July 6, 2026) conducted a joint inspection of the ongoing flyover and road construction works between Chanchalguda Y-Junction and IS Sadan Junction to review traffic management measures and minimise inconvenience to commuters.

The inspection was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-I) Rahul Hegde, Additional DCP (Traffic) Ramdas Tejavath, Assistant Commissioner of Police Chandrakumar, Traffic Inspector Mohammad Asif of Santoshnagar Traffic Police Station and GHMC Deputy Executive Engineer Shravan Kumar, along with engineers from the Projects Division.

During the inspection, officials reviewed the implementation of traffic diversion plans along the construction corridor, the provision of safe U-turns at required locations and the removal of unnecessary or hazardous U-turns. They also assessed coordination between the Traffic Police and GHMC engineering teams to ensure the works progress with minimal disruption to vehicular movement.

Officials issued on-the-spot instructions to improve traffic management and enhance commuter safety during the ongoing construction works.
