Former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Shiv Das Meena, who has been serving as the Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA), a statutory body, and two members, have submitted their resignations to the State government. They were appointed during the previous DMK government.

According to official sources, Mr. Meena, a 1989-batch officer of Tamil Nadu cadre who was appointed to the post on August 18, 2024, stepped down recently and submitted his resignation to the State government. At the time of his appointment as chairperson of the TNRERA, Mr. Meena was serving as the Chief Secretary. Following his appointment as chairperson, the then DMK government had appointed N. Muruganandam as Chief Secretary.

Along with Mr. Meena, L. Subramanian and Sukumar Chittibabu, who were members of the TNRERA, have also resigned from their posts. Mr. Subramanian, a retired IAS officer, served in various positions in the State government, while Mr. Chittibabu had earlier served as the City Revenue Officer of the Greater Chennai Corporation.
