Kerala State Karshaka Thozhilali Union (KSKTU) organised State-wide protests on Wednesday (July 1, 2026) demanding the repeal of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) scheme.

The Ernakulam Area Committee of the union held a dharna in front of the Mulavukad post office. M.B. Shyni, Ernakulam district secretary of Janadhipathya Mahila Association, inaugurated the protest. T.K. Vijayan, president of Ernakualm Area Committee of KSKTU, presided, according to a release. The protesters urged the centre to protect the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme.
