G. Venkataraman is new Director of Fire and Rescue Services

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday transferred G. Venkataraman, Director-General of Police (DGP)/former Head of Police Force (in-charge), who is currently the DGP, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai, and posted him as DGP/Director Fire and Rescue Services. He will replace Seema Agarwal, who retired on June 30. The State government also posted IAS officer Kakarla Usha as Additional Chief Secretary, Public and Rehabilitation. She will be replacing G. Laxmi Priya, who is currently Secretary II to the Chief Minister and was holding additional charge as Secretary Public and Rehabilitation.
