The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has secured attachment of 23 properties of the accused in Loni Urban Multi State Credit and Thrift Co-operative Society (LUCC) Chit Fund case. They are located in different parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.

The agency got six attachment orders issued in Uttarakhand, 16 in Uttar Pradesh, and one in Mumbai by the respective competent authorities. “Efforts are on to identify the remaining properties. So far, properties worth ₹25 crore have been attached,” it said.

The CBI has registered the case after taking over multiple First Information Reports from State police based on the High Court of Uttarakhand in 2025. As alleged, more than 1.6 lakh depositors were cheated and ₹419 crore misappropriated by those involved. The agency has arrested seven main accused and they are currently in judicial custody.
