The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has initiated a special action plan to develop the ancient Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram by improving pilgrim amenities.

Since the temple is under the control of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), a joint team led by ASI officials and TTD’s Joint Executive Officer A. Sharath visited the temple here on Thursday to monitor the development works. The proposed works include the improvement of drinking water facilities, queue lines, repairs to the steps, construction of a ‘Yagasala’ and a ‘Potu’ (temple kitchen), besides enhancement of devotee-centric amenities.

Mr. Sharath said the proposed development works would be taken up on priority basis and completed at the earliest after obtaining the necessary permissions. “A comprehensive report will be prepared in coordination with the ASI,” he added.

Superintending Engineer Manoharam, Chief Public Relations Officer T. Ravi, Additional Health Officer Dr. Sunil, Assistant Executive Officer Gopinath and temple priests also took part.
