The Coast Guard is continuing its search for three fishermen who went missing at sea on June 15.

According to Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar, the fishermen – Pandian, Kalyanasundaram, and Srikanth – from Killai and Parangipettai had ventured into the sea in a boat belonging to Subramaniam of Parangipettai.

They were expected to return by evening on June 16, but did not do so. The Fisheries Department was informed of the delay, following which local fishermen were granted permission to search for the missing crew. But they were unable to trace them, he said.

The search operation was expanded, and the Coast Guard deployed two boats and a helicopter. The operation is continuing, the Collector said.
