The police have launched a search operation in river Godavari for AP Special Police Constable Chandramalla Vamsi, who has been missing since Friday. The police launched the search operation after two-wheeler and chappal of Mr. Vamsi were found on the road-cum-rail bridge in Rajamahendravaram city.

“Vamsi was serving in the 3rd Battallion of the AP Special Police in Kakinada city. The SDRF, police and local swimmers have been deployed with the belief that he might have jumped into river Godavari”, said Siva Ganesh.

The police swung into action after Mr. Vamsi’s parents lodged a complaint about missing of their son. The police registered a missing case and the investigation is on.
