One killed in road accident in Adibatla

A man was killed in a road accident at a u-turn in Turkayamjal on Wednesday evening.

The deceased was identified as P. Srinivasa Rao, 55, a vocational school bus driver employed at St. Paul’s School, Kammaguda. He was a resident of Bhavani Colony, Turkayanjal.

The incident took place when an RTC bus travelling from Injapur towards Bengaluru hit a two-wheeler in front of it at Swagat Hotel u-turn.

According to the police, the bus driver, who was speeding and driving recklessly rammed into the vehicle, causing the rider to fall. He died on the spot.

The driver of the RTC bus was identified as Raula Pandu, 34, a resident of Manchala. He was taken into custody.
